How to Use Your Store Checkout Design on the Order Pay Page
When a customer pays for an order that’s waiting for payment, WooCommerce opens a Pay for order page (also called the order pay page). With CartFlows, you can show that page in the same design as your Store Checkout, so customers get one familiar checkout look wherever they pay.
This guide shows you how to turn it on and how to preview the result.
How It Works
WooCommerce uses the Pay for order page whenever an existing order still needs payment. Customers usually reach it in one of these ways:
- From a Pay for this order link in an invoice email you send from WooCommerce.
- From the Pay button next to a pending or failed order under My Account → Orders.
- From a payment link you share with the customer directly.
By default, this page uses your theme’s standard layout. With Override Order Pay Page turned on, CartFlows shows it inside your Store Checkout design instead, with your header, layout, and styling. The order itself stays exactly as it was created, and the customer simply completes the payment.
Here’s the same pending order with the theme’s default layout:

And here it is with Override Order Pay Page turned on:

Before You Start
This option uses your Store Checkout, so make sure:
- You have a Store Checkout set up in CartFlows → Store Checkout, and its checkout step is published.
- Override Store Checkout is turned on under CartFlows → Settings → General.

How to Turn On Override Order Pay Page
Step 1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to CartFlows → Settings.
Step 2. Click General in the left menu.
Step 3. Make sure Override Store Checkout is turned on. The Override Order Pay Page option appears right below it.
Step 4. Turn on Override Order Pay Page.

Step 5. Click Save Settings.
Your Pay for order page now uses your Store Checkout design.
How to Preview the Order Pay Page
You can preview the page using any order that’s waiting for payment.
Step 1. Go to WooCommerce → Orders and open an order with the Pending payment status.
Step 2. Click the Customer payment page → link next to the Status label.

The Pay for order page opens in your Store Checkout design, showing the order’s products, totals, and payment options.
Tip: To create a test order for this, click Add order on the WooCommerce → Orders screen, add a product and customer details, set the status to Pending payment, and click Create.
