Auto Suggest for WooCommerce Upsells and Cross-sells
CartFlows adds an Auto Suggest button to WooCommerce’s own Upsells and Cross-sells fields, so you can fill them from suggestions instead of searching for every product by hand.
This guide covers where to find it, how to review the suggestions, and how it differs from filling those fields yourself.
How It Works
WooCommerce already has Upsells and Cross-sells fields on every product, and they work exactly as they always have. Auto Suggest simply offers products to put in them, based on what customers buy alongside the product you are editing.
- You open the suggestions from a button next to each field.
- Suggestions open in a panel, and you accept or reject each one.
- Accepted products drop straight into the WooCommerce field, ready to save.
Nothing is added without you accepting it, and nothing you already have in either field is suggested again.
What You Need First
Auto Suggest comes with CartFlows Pro. Three things need to be in place before the button will return anything:
- CartFlows Pro installed and active
- Your CartFlows licence activated
- Your CartFlows account connected
Where to Find It
Step 1. Go to Products and open the product you want to set up.
Step 2. In the Product data box, click the Linked Products tab. You’ll see an Auto Suggest button beside both the Upsells and the Cross-sells field.

Each button only fills its own field, so use the one next to Upsells for upsells and the one next to Cross-sells for cross-sells.
Accepting Suggestions
Step 3. Click Auto Suggest next to the field you want to fill. A panel slides in from the right, headed Auto Suggest Upsells or Auto Suggest Cross-sells so you always know which field you are filling.

Step 4. Each suggestion shows the product image, its name, a badge explaining why it was picked, and the price. A percentage means customers genuinely buy the two together, while Popular in your store means there is not enough buying history yet, so a strong seller was offered instead.
Step 5. Click Accept to add a product, or Reject to drop it from the list. Rejecting only clears it from this panel, it does not change your product.
Step 6. Accepted products appear immediately in the WooCommerce field behind the panel.

Step 7. Close the panel and click Update to save the product. Until you do, nothing is saved.
Getting a Different Set
If none of the suggestions suit, Regenerate all fetches a fresh batch. It leaves out both what is already in the field and what is currently on screen, so you get different products rather than the same list again.
Once every suggestion has been dealt with, the panel tells you that you are all set, and offers to regenerate or close.
