CartFlows Instant Checkout

CartFlows Pro includes a feature called Instant Checkout that lets shoppers buy a product straight from the product page, without ever leaving it. A Buy Now button appears next to your existing Add to Cart button, and clicking it opens the full checkout, order bumps and all, in a popup right there on the page.

This guide walks you through how Instant Checkout works, how to turn it on for a funnel, and what the experience looks like for your shoppers.

How Instant Checkout Works

When Instant Checkout is turned on for a funnel, CartFlows automatically adds a Buy Now button next to Add to Cart on that funnel’s product page. Nothing needs to be placed manually.

  • The shopper clicks Buy Now, and a checkout popup opens right on top of the product page. Their browsing cart is set aside for the moment, not lost.
  • Inside the popup, they move through checkout, review any order bumps, and pay, all without a single page reload.
  • If they close the popup without finishing, their original cart is restored exactly as it was. If they complete the order, the funnel’s upsell and downsell steps take over next, just like a normal CartFlows checkout.

Pricing shown in the popup is always calculated by your store, so shoppers are only ever charged what they were shown.

How to Set Up Instant Checkout

Instant Checkout is configured per funnel, so you can turn it on for some funnels and leave others as they are. Which funnel you enable it on determines which products get the Buy Now button:

  • Enable it on Store Checkout to add the Buy Now button to every product page in your store, with no extra setup per product.
  • Enable it on a regular funnel to use that funnel’s checkout for one or more specific products. You’ll also need to assign the funnel to each of those products, since a funnel’s Instant Checkout setting only applies to products pointed at it.

Step 1. From the WordPress admin, go to CartFlows → Funnels and open the funnel you want to update. The funnel needs a checkout step already set up and published.

Step 2. Open the funnel’s settings and click the Instant Checkout tab.

Step 3. Turn on Enable Instant Checkout.

Step 4. Under Popup Layout, pick one of the two layouts:

  • Two Pane — the full three-step checkout (contact, address, payment) with an order summary shown alongside the form.
  • QuickBuy — a compact, single-column popup with a shorter two-step checkout (details, then payment) and the order total shown in a fixed strip.

Step 5. Set the Button Text shown on the product page. It reads “Buy Now” by default, but you can change it to match your store’s voice.

Step 6. Optionally, upload a Custom Logo to show inside the popup. If you leave this empty, your site’s logo is used, or your store’s initials if you don’t have one set.

Step 7. Use the Design section to match the popup to your store, including the primary color, heading and text colors, background colors, and base font size.

Step 8. Click Save Settings.

If you enabled Instant Checkout on Store Checkout, you’re done, the Buy Now button is now active across your store. If you enabled it on a regular funnel instead, continue to Step 9 to point specific products at that funnel.

Step 9. Open the product in Products → All Products, scroll to the Product data section, and click the CartFlows tab. Under Select the Flow, choose the funnel you just updated, then update the product.

The Instant Checkout Popup in Action

Once Instant Checkout is on, shoppers see the Buy Now button right next to Add to Cart on the product page.

Any order bumps you’ve set up on the funnel’s checkout step appear in the popup too, including quantity controls and, for variable products, the usual size or color options.

On Mobile Devices

The popup adjusts to fit smaller screens, keeping the same steps and order summary in a compact, full-width layout.

Working with Coupons

If you have Power Coupons installed, shoppers can enter a coupon code right inside the popup to apply any offers available to them, without leaving checkout.

Coupons applied inside the popup only apply to that purchase. If the shopper closes the popup without completing the order, their original cart and its own coupons come back untouched.
