This feature lets users be redirected to a CartFlows funnel immediately after adding a product to their cart.

How Does It Work?

When this feature is enabled:

  • Users clicking Add to Cart on a product page are redirected to the first step of a selected CartFlows funnel.
  • You can choose a specific funnel for each product in the WooCommerce product settings.
  • This method works well for custom pricing, booking, and appointment-based products.

Important: We recommend not using a Landing Page as the first step to ensure users go directly to checkout.

When to Use This Feature?

This feature is useful when:

  • You want to send users directly to checkout after adding a product to the cart.
  • You’re selling booking or appointment-based products where users need to select details before checkout.
  • You want to customize the checkout experience for specific products without requiring users to visit the default WooCommerce cart page.

How to Enable This Feature

1. Create a Funnel

Ensure you have a CartFlows funnel with the Checkout step as the first step.

2. Edit the WooCommerce Product

  1. Go to Products and select the product you want to connect to a funnel.
  2. Open the CartFlows tab in the product settings.
CartFlows Settings Product Page

3. Link the Product to a Funnel

  1. Search for the funnel you want to connect.
  2. Optionally, customize the Add to Cart button text for this product.
Select Funnel Product Page

4. Save Changes

Click Update to apply the changes.

Update Product

Important Notes

  • Do not assign a product in the backend of the Checkout step when using this feature.
  • For booking and appointment product types, ensure users provide the necessary details on the product page before checkout.
  • The Start a Funnel from Product Page feature is designed to work only with default WooCommerce product pages. It doesn’t function the same way with custom-designed sales pages created outside of WooCommerce’s product system.

How Does CartFlows Work with and without Store Checkout? https://cartflows.com/docs/how-cartflows-work-with-and-without-global-checkout/ Fri, 07 Aug 2020 04:08:05 +0000 https://cartflows.com/?post_type=docs&p=33127 CartFlows provides two ways to handle the checkout process—with or without Store Checkout. This documentation explains how each method works and which one is best suited for your store.

How CartFlows Works without Store Checkout

By default, CartFlows funnels work independently. You can send users directly to a Landing Page or Checkout Page via ads, social media, or your website’s navigation.

Default Funnel Process:

Landing Page → Checkout Page → Upsell Page (Pro) → Downsell Page (Pro) → Thank You Page

You can use this method to:

  • Promote individual products via ads and social media.
  • Link users directly to a custom Landing Page or Checkout Page.
  • Add custom navigation to direct users to specific funnels.

How CartFlows Works with Store Checkout

With Store Checkout, CartFlows replaces WooCommerce’s default Checkout page. This allows you to:

  • Send all WooCommerce purchases through a CartFlows Checkout Page.
  • Support multiple products without creating a separate funnel for each one.
  • Offer upsells and downsells for store-wide products, increasing average order value.
  • Use a custom checkout experience across your entire store.

Store Checkout Process:

Shop Page → Cart Page (optional) → CartFlows Checkout Page → Thank You Page

This method is best if you:

  • Have a large number of products and want to use a single, optimized checkout page.
  • Want to redirect users from any page (product pages, social media, or ads) to a custom CartFlows checkout.

Which One Should You Use?

  • Use Store Checkout if you sell multiple products and want a single, optimized checkout.
  • Use funnels without Store Checkout if you need a custom sales journey for individual products.

CartFlows Funnel Step Types https://cartflows.com/docs/cartflows-step-types/ Thu, 17 Jan 2019 04:36:46 +0000 https://cartflows.com/?post_type=docs&p=30539 A funnel consists of multiple steps that guide users through the buying journey. CartFlows offers several step types, each serving a specific purpose.

Available Step Types

Landing Page Step

The Landing Page step is used to create lead generation or sales pages. You can have multiple landing pages in a single funnel.

Checkout Step

The Checkout step is where buyers complete their orders. It includes options to:

  • Link to a product.
  • Add an upsell (Pro feature).
  • Adjust checkout fields (Pro feature).
  • Style the Checkout form.

A funnel can have only one Checkout step.

Upsell Step (Pro Feature)

The Upsell step appears after the Checkout step. This is where you can offer an additional product after the initial purchase.

A funnel can have multiple Upsell steps.

Downsell Step (Pro Feature)

The Downsell step appears after an Upsell step. If a buyer declines the upsell offer, they are directed to the Downsell step, where you can present a lower-cost or alternative offer.

A funnel can have multiple Downsell steps.

Thank You Step

The Thank You step is the final step in a funnel. It is used to:

  • Display order details (if a Checkout step is included).
  • Provide next steps or instructions to buyers.

Opt-in Step (Free/Pro)

The Opt-in step is used to collect leads and provide free products. It is placed between the Landing Page and the Checkout step.

  • Requires free Simple Virtual/Downloadable products.
  • Users enter their details to gain access to the product.
  • Additional custom fields require CartFlows Pro.
